HBO recently released A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and so far I think the show looks great. That said, the community (myself included) is a little unhappy that a lot of details from the source material have been cut — details that wouldn't have been particularly difficult to include. We're not talking about things that would've been tricky to film or would've significantly extended the episodes. Just small things that added texture to the story. On top of that, some characters — Maekar in particular — have taken on very different personalities from the originals, which I think is an unnecessary and pretty bad design choice.
Then again, what do I know about show-making? And George R.R. Martin was involved in the production, so if he approved it, what can we really say.
Still, I think the full stories, with all the details intact, are more fun to experience. So here they are — the Chinese audiobooks for all three novellas that make up A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
